Why is it that, when you’re brimming with ideas for brilliant blog posts, you can never spare half an hour to write them?

  1. Because creativity begets creativity? When you’ve working like mad, your thoughts will be percolating quite nicely and you’ll come up with doxens of brilliant ideas.

When you’re vegetating, the best your catatonic mind will come up wit is “101 Lists That Will [Unfounded Claim]”

I do hope that question wasn’t rhetorical.

  2. Oh no. You mean that someone’s already nicked the 101 lists idea? Maybe I should do 102, just to stand out…

  4. Sorry, I’ll have to wake up before I can think about your question. But seriously. It’s like, “why did I never start writing a novel until I had three children under 5?”

Anyway, I’ve written two blog posts today! Both based on things other people wrote, though. And I have this great idea for another…

  5. This is a truism – especially when what you want to write is related to current events. Deadlines appear from nowhere as soon as you strike a solid vein of creativity and you run out of time to mine it. Sod’s law? Lol. I try to keep my note app open on my desktop, so I can quickly “shorthand” the basic idea for “later”, whenever that may be. So far, I’m batting .750 but it’s been a slow month. :-)

  6. If you’re anything like me, the answer is that whenever you do finally have time to write, there are 101 other things you’d rather do than blog. Which incidentally, sounds like rather a good idea for a new post…

  7. Your question reminds me of Shishi Odoshi.
