I'm only almost a week late in commenting - sorry about that!

Thanks so much for responding to my question. Very helpful things to remember.

My two biggest problems are keeping them relevant and memorable. As I'm brainstorming to keep them memorable, I make too many leaps in logic and then they are no longer relevant.

A follow-up question, if you don't mind ... I've got the smallest start to a blog and I wrote a horribly irrelevant title for a previous post. (It's actually what led to my original question to you.) Knowing what I know now, do I
A) ignore it
B) change it
C) use it as fodder for another post that points out how I could have done it better?

Keep in mind that my posts, like yours, are intended to help people make better choices in their communication.

Thanks again!

I agree, but simple needn't be dull or ineffective.

As for online, it's pretty dull. Nielsen says readers only scan the first few words, so the meat has to be at the beginning. Avoid puns, humour or anything clever.

I guess if you have a loyal readership who are on your wavelength then you can indulge in a bit of creativity.
